Prof. Sarah Cook
Sarah Cook is a Canadian academic living in Scotland. She is known as a historian and curator in the field of new media art. At the University of Sunderland, she founded the research institute CRUMB - Curatorial Resource for Upstart Media Bliss with Beryl Graham in 2000. In 2013 she was appointed Reader and Dundee Research Fellow at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, University of Dundee, and founded and curated the LifeSpace Science Art Research Gallery in the School of Life Sciences, University of Dundee (2014-2018). Since 2018, she has been Professor of Museum Studies in the Department of Information Studies at the University of Glasgow. She has curated exhibitions on new media art for many years and has been instrumental in establishing new media as an academic subject and a recognised art form.

Prof. Inge Hinterwaldner
Inge Hinterwaldner is Professor of Art History at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. She studied art history at the University of Innsbruck and received her PhD from the University of Basel in 2009 with the paper Das systemische Bild (Fink 2010/MIT Press 2017). As a visiting scholar, she spent research stays at MECS/Leuphana in Lüneburg, Duke University Durham and MIT in Cambridge. In 2016-2018, she was Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art and Image History at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She is currently researching two projects of her own that deal with internet art: Browser Art. Navigating with Style (2019-2022) and Coded Secrets. Artistic Interventions Hidden in the Digital Fabric (2022-2027). Her research interests include computer-based art and architecture, forms of expression with fluid media, intertwinements of arts and sciences since the 19th century, image and model theory.

Ruth Jarman
Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt founded Semiconductor in 1997, living and working in Brighton, UK. Over the last twenty years they have become known for their innovative work exploring the material nature of our world and the way we experience it from the perspective of science and technology. They occupy a unique position in the art world by combining experimental moving image techniques, scientific research and digital technologies in a philosophically compelling way.
